more energy than matter
Greetings!
Here is some food for thought, and a practice.
Embodiment and emptiness is a both/and situation. Fully finite and fully infinite. Fully in life, and fully beyond this life.
Our energy field and consciousness has places it touches the connection to everything- you can move through time and space with it. Yet when we connect to our physical body (which again is just the densest layer of the energy field), we can really feel our edges. We can feel the material of our body, and the grounding it provides. Both/And is the key.
Take a moment to imagine the structure of you– feel your realness and density, then imagine it all plumping out with nothingness, with a pungent alive vibrating emptiness.
DISSOLVING THE I INTO RADIANT EMPTINESS
Directions:
I recommend recording yourself reading this, then settle in and listen to your recording. Or alternatively, read and/or record this for someone else and have them do the same for you.
This is a good practice to help work through tension spots in the body.
PART 1 ATOMS
Sweep your awareness through your body with a relaxed focus. And as you do, notice areas that feel a little tight or held.
Once you have made a quick assessment and you feel one or several of those parts, pick one of them and go into that spot. Allow all your energy and focus to be drawn magnetically into the spot you picked.
Go into it, go into it.
Draw yourself towards it, like a deep sea diver.
Begin to visualize the atoms, molecules and cells that make up that area. Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what they look like.
Maybe trillions of cells are in that area.
The cells vibrating right next to each other.
Feel them enliven with the subtle energy of the life force.
Visualize the subtle energy of the life force filling the cells.
What if you are more energy than matter? More light than form?
What if you could feel the vibration in each atom?
Imagine the cells expanding. There is more space. There is more breath. There is more vibrant emptiness. What seemed tight before is now spacious, and the spaciousness is vibrating. A vibrating emptiness.
Breathe.
Now, zoom back out and see the wholeness of your body. If there are any spots that feel tense or dull, apply this focus of vibrating emptiness to that place.
