Silver Lining.

Another definition of Silver Lining…...

A silver lining, also called cloud iridescence, is a bright outline that occurs along the edge of a cloud. This play of light is created by the sun’s rays being splintered through water droplets.

It is an infinite expression of dynamic elemental forces. One that does not need our gaze to exist.

But as humans we make meaning of this. We name it, point it out, admire it. It sparks a particular feeling within us. We love it…. Why?

Perhaps because we instinctively understand a silver lining is a natural gesture of change. It is a visible representation of transformation, of movement from one state of being to another.

Somewhere in our depths we recognize that transformation is what we are here for. In fact, we mark and shape and mold our lives in these earthly bodies around it. Even when we resist its current, change remains. Transformation persists.

So, the next time you witness that crescent of silver nestled against a clearing sky, the next time you witness that ever radiant sun star illuminating a dispersing gather of water, allow yourself a pause, a sigh, a breath. Feel the tenacious truth that beats in your breast, “Ahh the next state of being dawns within me now…”
