Examine

There is only one thing we can ever come close to knowing, one thing we actually have true authority over...Ourselves, our mind, our attention.

There is a photography exercise where a group of people go to the same spot at the same time and take pictures. Even though they stand in the same moment, their creative interpretation of that moment always vastly varies.

We reveal ourselves through our curiosity and creativity.

As we move into this time period of large structures shifting and changing, we can invite ourselves to notice when we are painting a situation in too large strokes, in too much assumption. When a certain part of our mind takes over and begins to categorize in hard unrelenting images.

When we are on a path to knowing ourselves better, we know more about what we are coming in with, where we tend to point our gaze, what our triggers are. We sense how ultimately none of us are ever seeing the whole picture-ever.

And we learn what is unique about us, what we find exciting and curious and alive. This is a real gift we bring to our surroundings, family and chosen family- and to our selves. We all fit together in a pattern to large to know. Celebrate what makes you you, and allow other be witness to it.
