Monday Night Play is a creative experiment where a live sound score, poetic verbal guidance, dance, improvisation, and YOU all come together. Facilitated by Adrian and Tracy, MNP is also co-created by the participants who generously lend their moving bodies to the laboratory that is assembled and released each month. Every event has its own unique theme, and each will end with a deep relaxing guided meditation.
February:
Dissolving the I. Guiding questions…
How solid are we truly? How much does our identity drive our days, and our dancing?
IF we exist in a field of impermanence, how do we commit fully to what is ephemeral while still acknowledging that nothing is fixed?
WITH TRACY BROYLES (movement facilitation) AND ADRIAN HUTAPEA (live sound score.)
The second Monday of each month.
at FLOCK DANCE CENTER
7 pm- 8:30 pm
$10-$30 NOTA.
2516 NW 29th Ave STE 60
Industrial NW, park on street and enter through a small lot to Building 5.
Our time begins with an inquiry of the monthly theme. As we move into a collective practice of improvisation, we give the themes room to bloom or die through a movement score with live music. We will finish with a deep relaxing meditation. It is a playful journey into curiosity and intuition, response and action, embodiment and deep tending.
Come as you are..
