Tracy Broyles is an embodiment facilitator, somatic therapist, dancer, energy worker, writer, artist, and storyteller. All of Tracy’s work is driven by the question; how does the unseen intangible world of energy, emotion, the psyche, and the mystic braid into our tangible embodied reality?

in Tracy’s words….

“Starting in 2010 and continuing today, I have been developing a series of teachings, performances, community engagements and workshops that highlight a pathway of inquiry, healing, joy, and creative practice. These teachings are the base for the upcoming workbook, Instrument of the Infinite.

More background:

Through the lens of a Pilates Instructor, I began almost daily teaching, both group and one-on-one sessions, in 2001. This gave me a solid knowledge base in embodied anatomy and movement patterns. It also gave me the opportunity to really get to know how to guide a flow, work with people, and support a client with understanding and kindness. At this time I also learned Reiki and began my hands on energy practice.

My journey was profoundly transformed through participating in the four-year training program to become a Core Energetics Therapist with Ken and Kathleen Goldberg from 2012-2016. This form of psycho-somatic therapy taught me how both embodiment and our lives are shaped by our thoughts, beliefs and emotions, as well as childhood development and trauma. This training also included how to regulate the nervous system.

From 2020-2023 My work evolved again through life coaching with Michelle Boule and Christal Brown where I worked directly with mindset in my life and business. From 2021-2023 I participated in a two year mentorship and apprenticeship group with Shayne Case where I delved deeply into how everything has a life force and is truly relational, be that plants, elements, thoughts, beliefs, and that working in one area is working in all of them. Working with Shayne Case also increased my skills as an energy worker and spirit guide channel.

Staring as a teen, and continuing today, spending incredible amounts of time in the dance studio has been the most informative inquiry and process I have gone through. Expressing myself through performing and creating dances has shaped and driven my understanding of all things somatic and energetic. It has put me in classrooms, stages, and studios for over 30 years.

Based in the Pacific Northwest for 25 years, some professional artist highlights include; Creating and performing The Observer Effect at The Headwaters Theater (PDX) on Winter Solstice in 2013, and again at my college alma mater UMBC (Maryland) in 2016. Creating a group dance ritual centered on shadow processing in the performance HYDE in 2015, that inspired spontaneous audience participation. Running blindfolded and backward through a network of wooden blocks at the Coming Home showing in 2019. Returning to Mike Barber’s 10 Tiny Dances Stage in 2022, twenty years after performing in its inaugural inception.

I have also enjoyed creating performance installations in an empty house, for Cocoon Bird (2007), and creating Theory 1:Dance with collaborator Meshi Chavez (2004-2009), flying under the i-5 freeway overpass with Aviator Aerial Dance Company (company member 2000-2007), studying with Deborah Hay in Findhorn, Scotland (2010) and performing with my step-daughter, in Tahni Holt’s company in Bulgaria in 2018. The gift of space has helped me develop my choreographic vision through residencies at Caldera Arts (2007), Signal Fire (2014, with collaborators Lisa DeGrace, Stephen Miller, and Adrian Hutapea) and New Expressive Works (2012), and as resident artist at FLOCK Dance Center (2014-present.)

I look forward to the next iteration of this work, how the creative, healing, embodiment, psychological, and spiritual can all continue to evolve together, and how I will grow as a teacher, facilitator, artist, and therapist.”
